We are seeking a Manager Resident Care (RN) - Intermediate Care Facility North Unit that will lead caregivers and coordinates operations on the unit to best support quality of life and services for residents. Coordinates care provision with resident, physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. Ensures the resident care plan is developed, implemented and documented to meet care needs. Provides leadership that integrates choice, privacy, and dignity. Directs and assists with resident/patient care as needed. Participates in review of labor expense, staffing levels, and quality improvements. Directly supervises nursing staff.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Create and maintains a work environment that promotes and fosters teamwork and optimism with a focus on mission
Supervise and directs unit staff
Develop work schedules, works with others to solve participants/residents/patient issues, initiates and follows-up on staff development, conducts performance evaluations and recommends corrective action when necessary
Participate in selection and orientation of new licensed staff and other team members
Coordinate and communicates new admissions and in-house transfers, and assists in planning discharge, as needed
Provide leadership through use of supplies, medications, and equipment, participating in Quality Assurance Program, coordination of resident services throughout all shifts, coordinates services with other departments, and ensures nursing and personal care practices are within standards and regulations
Complete unusual occurrence reports, and investigates incidents as they arise
Maintain compliance with Infection Control policies by ensuring documentation and reporting of staff and patient infections to the Infection Control Nurse
Facilitie timely care plan review meetings and family conferences in cooperation with Social Services
Conduct assessments; evaluates, plans, and implements services rendered to residents/patients
Participate in licensing surveys, Quality Improvement and other committees as requested to meet regulatory and licensing requirements as well as encourage innovation and excellence
Provide in-service and training as needed to ensure resident choice and individual preference are honored, in addition to upholding regulatory requirements
Perform monthly medication reviews and follows up on pharmacy reviews
Inform Director of Nursing of resident condition and changes in acuity
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
One (1) year of Clinical experience as an RN, preferably in Long Term Care
Experience on a Medicare Unit or current knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
