Providence Health & Services RN - Walk in Clinic in Monroe, Washington

Providence is calling a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) (0.6 FTE, Day Shift) to the Walk-in Clinic at Providence Medical Group Northwest Washington in Monroe, WA. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible to all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinic. The Registered Nurse also has leadership skills which enable him/her to delegate and coordinate the continuum of care. The Registered nurse assists in orientation, training, and education of personnel as well as the day to day operations of the clinic.

This is a part time position with benefits (12 hour shifts, 2 days per week. Days vary and can include weekends and holidays).

In this position you will:

  • Effectively implement Standard Universal Precautions and Body Substance Isolation in all laboratory duties.

  • Triage patients and communicate urgent patient needs to the practitioner.

  • Anticipate the needs of the patient and the practitioner during the exam.

  • Draw blood; perform EKGs, laboratory and x-rays; assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to appropriate level of training and established procedures.

  • Insure patient privacy and comfort during the exam; instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests.

  • Obtain body fluid specimens including but not limited to urinary catheterization.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Completion and graduation from an accredited nursing program

  • Patient Care Experience

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Washington

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • 1 year experience in Urgent Care or Immediate Care

  • Recent experience in an acute care facility

  • Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) within 90 days of employment
