Providence Health & Services Radiology Technologist - Imaging Services in Monroe, Washington
Description:
Providence is calling a Radiologic Technologist (Per Diem, Variable Shift to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Imaging Services in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a detail-oriented radiology technologist to provide patient care services using imaging modalities.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool
Perform all radiographic procedures on patients in all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Communicate pending exam/patient information to on coming shift
Reconstruct and film exams in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis. Prepares films for file room and/or hangs films on viewers for timely review by the Radiologist
Follow all procedures and guidelines pertaining to the use of barium in patient exams
Maintain proficiency and the operation of the computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs
Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and department protocol
Interact with patients and families
Create and maintain records and documentation
Maintain supplies in examination rooms to ensure timely procedures. Monitor equipment operation and maintenance. Maintain order and cleanliness of work areas
Maintain proficiency and the operation of the RMS computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree or completion of approved Radiology Technologist Training Program or equivalent educ/experience
Active WA State Radiology Technologist license.
Valid ARRT certification in Radiology.
Must continue to be in good standing with ARRT and Washington State while employed.
A valid CPR card is required and must be obtained within 2 weeks from date of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Recent radiographic experience
