Providence Patient Services Representative - Walk in Clinic in Monroe, Washington


Providence is calling Patient Services Rep resentative (0.6 FTE Day Shift) to the Walk in Clinic at Providence Medical Group in Monroe, WA. Position Details: This is a part time position with benefits (24 hours/week. Days to be determined. May include weekend rotations. Schedule open to discussion).

We are looking for a full time Patient Services Representative for our moderately busy PMG Walk In clinic. In this position you can expect to register new and established patients, answer phones, sort and address faxes, scan documents, work with L&I and motor vehicle claims as well as check insurance eligibility on all incoming patients and more. You will learn to navigate our EPIC ASAP application as well as ClockwiseMD, our online reservation system. We’re looking for an individual with excellent customer service and communicating skills. In this position you will work not only with patients but also the entire clinical team.

In this position you will:

  • Greet, check-in and verify patient's information and co-pay in a friendly and courteous manner in person and on the phone; direct flow of patients and calls.

  • Collect and verify accurate and complete demographic information from patient or family member; accurately enter all data into the information system and update established patient files as necessary.

  • Oversee the processing of all clerical records and information for clinic patients including cashiering, encounter forms, patient charts and refer to billing when appropriate.

  • Ensure required authorizations are present on all patient documents.

  • Ensure management of patient charts including chart organization, pick-up and delivery to needed locations, repair or preparation on new charts, prepare new patient files, may help with purging of inactive charts and release of chart information; Pull patient files for the next day.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One year clerical experience in a medical facility, preferably experience as medical receptionist

  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records

  • Customer service experience

  • Ability to type and manage phones

  • Basic math skills
