Providence RN Patient Care Coordinator - Montana Cancer Center in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Patient Care Coordinator (Chemo Outpatient Services/Montana Cancer Center, Days, 0.8 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Perform patient care, patient education and accurate documentation in accordance with clinic standards.
Administer chemotherapy substances, antibiotics, blood products and supportive medicines.
Confirm physician dose calculations.
Follow established chemotherapy hospital policies and procedures.
Assess patients and assist physician in determining anti-emetic therapy.
Operate and maintain infusion and ambulatory pumps. Clean pumps per clinic policy.
Maintain and stock treatment area and bedrooms.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Current licensure in the State of Montana as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Experience in an Oncology setting
