Providence Health & Services Outpatient Dietitian I *Temporary Position* in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an Outpatient Dietitian I (Endocrinology Center , Days, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Medical Group in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Assess and conduct intervention for diabetes self-management education of patients.
Assess the ongoing care needs of patients through interaction with patients, families and members of the health care team. Coordinate and plan for care consulting interdisciplinary team members as needed.
Communicate with other members of the health care team regarding the patient’s needs, plan and response to care.
Complete comprehensive assessment of nutritional needs, knowledge deficits in nutrition and learning ability.
Conduct patient visits and group classes for self-management diabetes education with emphasis on medical nutrition therapy.
Define appropriate patient goals and expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
Develop meal plans tailored to patient's medical needs and lifestyles.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
Registered Dietitian through Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure in the State of Montana as a Nutritionist
Current Driver's license, current insurance, and current motor vehicle record
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
3 years of direct patient contact
Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Education or eligibility for certification (CDE)
