Providence Health & Services Maternity Technician in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Maternity Technician (Family Maternity Center, Part Time, 0.6FTE, 48 Biweekly Hours/24 Weekly Hours, Day Shift) to Saint Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Function as the scrub technologist in the C-section suite and other clinical areas, which consists of: the selection and set-up of the sterile table with instruments, supplies and equipment; the passing of instruments to the surgeon during the procedure; maintaining sterile technique and caring for instruments following the procedure.
Assist in vaginal deliveries by performing assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN.
Support nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery.
Perform designated unit and clerical functions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion from an accredited Surgical Tech program
National certification as a Certified Surgical Technician required within 3 months of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Operating Room with cesarean section experience
