Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (PMG Float Pool, Day-shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Missoula, Montana. Shift Details: Dayshift, Full-Time; Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM
*In this position, you will be able to work across 25 outpatient Providence Medical Group clinics in a float capacity, covering PTO, sick call, and vacant positions.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assist physician in office procedures including medication/immunization administration, physicals/DOT physicals, prescription management, Alcohol/Drug screens, and ECG’s
Collect data regarding patient/family learning needs, abilities, preferences and readiness to learn
Complete accurate intake and output
Complete accurate vital signs
Complete delegated patient care activities and record and report variations
Consistently receive and give suggestions and constructive criticism in a professional manner
Contribute to the assessment of the patient by collecting information for an analysis by the physician or PA
Demonstrate the ability to function as a member/leader of Interdisciplinary care delivery team
Demonstrate the ability to take emergency action when required
Discuss with patients and/or family member medications, treatment instructions and follow-up management
Screen, assess, monitor, document, and interpret biophysical, educational, environmental, growth/development, psychosocial, self-care and spiritual needs
Obtain and record height and weight
Participate in interdisciplinary patient care planning, as assigned
Participate in the development of patient plan of care to include patient problems, goals, evaluations and interventions
Screen telephone calls for referral to physician
Use age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines to conduct educational activities for patients
Utilize a collaborative interdisciplinary process to provide appropriate patient/family education
Utilize a standard data collection tool to obtain a nursing history
Maintain ongoing monitoring and observation of assigned patients
Reports and documents any unusual patient or administrative occurrence that may have an effect on the patient’s and/or staff’s well being
Ensure effective use of supplies/equipment – Minimizes supply wastage
Charge appropriately for supplies used
Provide clear, concise and pertinent direction to care team
Serve as a preceptor for new staff
Assure correct ICD-9 diagnostic/HCPCS/CPT coding is used to transcribe patient diagnosis, procedures, services and supplies
Assure that inter/intra departmental documentation is recorded, distributed and filed accurately and timely
Documents assessments, interventions and evaluations of care accurately, objectively and timely
Oversee appointment bookings and assist with scheduling and re-scheduling of patient appointments, referrals, tests, treatments, preauthorization of services and hospital services
Process patient charges according to TMI coding and reimbursement policies
Receive, transcribe, verify and carries out physician orders accurately and timely
Transcribe appropriate coding for medicare billing and reimbursement
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Practical -or- vocational nursing program
Must be a licensed practical nurse with current license in MT
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:
American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),
American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -or-
Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year LPN experience
