Providence Laundry Aide in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Laundry Aid (Laundry Services, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Clean and disinfect all surfaces, restrooms, floors and equipment.
Follow established cleaning methods in performing daily duties.
Keep all work areas orderly, safe and clean.
Remove and properly disposes of specialized waste materials such as sharps infectious or chemotherapeutic.
Report broken, damaged, inoperative or unsafe conditions to the Laundry Supervisor.
Report any work not done by shift end to immediate supervisor.
Accurately reflect the amount of linen delivered to areas on linen sheets.
Deliver linen as needed to various departments accurately and within allotted time frames.
Monitor linen inventory and notifies supervisor of potential shortages before they occur.
Aid the supervisor in linen inventories.
Process various pieces of linen with accuracy, neatness, production and quality of product within established acceptable ranges.
Responsible for providing aesthetically pleasing linen to all departments or facilities in a timely and efficient manner according to established department policies and State and Federal guidelines and regulations.
Sort soiled linen into appropriate categories within established time limits.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED
Previous healthcare experience, particularly in a service department
Experience with or training in customer service
