Providence ECG Technician in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a ECG Technician (Electrocardiology, Days, 0.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assist with prepping the patient in a timely manner.
Exhibit good working knowledge of equipment and is able to troubleshoot technical problems.
Perform ECG and Rhythm Strip.
Keep all machines cleaned and stocked for the on-coming shift.
Present inservices or other educational offerings as assigned.
Complete the unfinished work in the ECG Department when it has been staffed by the RT Department.
Notify reading physicians of their assigned week to read cardiograms, a few days before the scheduled time.
Provide reports to hospitals upon request.
Provide reports to staff physicians upon request.
Schedule patients for in and outpatient testing when applicable.
Required qualification for this position include:
- Current AHA-BLS, Basic Life Support required upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Corpsman, Medical Assistant or other related allied health field
Hospital or clinic based exercise testing experience.
Telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms.
