Providence Health & Services Coordinator - Hospital Preparedness Program in Mission Hills, California

Providence is calling a Full Time, Day Shift Hospital Preparedness Program Coordinator to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Assist in the design, implementation and coordination of the medical centers HPP (Hospital Preparedness Program) Grant, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety Programs for Providence Saint Joseph, Holy Cross, and Tarzana Medical Centers. This will be done in accordance with the Mission and Values of the Sisters of Providence, and in compliance with all laws and regulations.

  • Develop response procedures and provides training for Emergency Preparedness and Safety initiatives that will prepare employees, physicians and volunteers to respond effectively in disaster or emergency incidents.

  • Be responsible for scheduling and oversight of quarterly department disaster drills and code pink drills as required by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2-3 years experience in a healthcare position

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Undergraduate Degree

  • Experience and/or certification in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in writing training compliance documentation in a fast paced environment

  • Experience with JCAHO in a health care environment

  • Previous emergency preparedness experience with special focus on OSHA regulations and Hospital Safety

  • Ability to teach/train

  • Speak comfortably in front of a group

  • Background in Disaster Response

  • NIMS Training

  • Knowledge HICS
