Providence Health & Services Clinical Research Manager in Mission Hills, California
Providence is calling a Full Time, Day Shift Clinical Research Manager to the John Wayne Cancer Institute, Ancillary Clinical Trials Services department, located in Mission Hills, CA.
In this position you will:
Assume responsibility of managing clinical research operations for Providence Health Care facilities and programs.
Be responsible for the oversight of the daily operations.
Oversee compliance with Federal, State and local regulations that govern clinical research and works with key personnel to assure these standards are achieved.
Critically review study protocols for operational and facility resource utilization and feasibility.
Collaborate with the Business and Regulatory Affairs Manager for development budgets and contracts.
Be responsible for completion of performance evaluations and ongoing monitoring of research staff who report to this position.
Be a resource regarding clinical research and study participant management.
Act as a liaison with other departments within Providence Health Care, outside organizations, and clients.
Assess and make work assignments for research staff.
Prepare assignment for clinical research coordination and other duties may be made to the Clinical Research Manager depending on departmental needs and as time and effort allow.
Have effective interpersonal relationships and collaborations with study investigators, physicians, and other health care professionals, supervisors, and co-workers to support clinical research.
Comply with "Good Clinical Practices" (CFR 21), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) regulatory policies, and ethical principles in human research studies.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree for Allied Health licensed professions
3 years experience in clinical research
3 years experience in specialty area
Effective communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in use of common current computer software programs and web-based programs
Acceptable references from former employers
Completion of Human Subjects Certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Research Certification preferred, either ACRP or SOCRA
