Our Residency Program transitions new graduate nurses into practice emphasizing inter-professional, collaborative, and patient-centered care. Our comprehensive specialty curriculum includes online and classroom based learning, clinical simulation, skills development and unit orientation with specialty trained preceptors. Our Core Fundamentals program is designed to support new graduate professional development through their first year of practice.
Positions could be located at Willamette Falls, Milwaukie, Providence Portland, St. Vincent, or Newberg!

Position Commitments:
Ability to work from on call to full time depending on the position offered
Available to work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts
Available to work any shift (day, evening, night, various)
Able to participate in all program activities throughout the 12 month period

In this position, you will:
Provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment
Work with a preceptor and assuming increasing responsibility during the residency
Be accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan
Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice
Minimum required qualifications for this position includes:
Nursing degree/diploma upon hire
All Registered Nurses (RNs) without a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher within three (3) years of hire
Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered
If RN holds a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:
American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),
American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -OR-
Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program and is newly licensed
Length of time since graduation can vary; however, typically is less than twelve (12) months from graduation
