We are seeking a LPN, Non-Contract - Milwaukie Nursing Dept that will works under the ongoing direction of a Administrator to provide quality nursing care. Assists with collection of assessment data, provides input to the planning of care. Implements plan of care within scope of licensure. Maintains a safe environment for residents.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide patient care that reflects consideration for age-specific developmental needs and abilities
Collaborate in an ongoing and systematic manner to perform and document observations and data collection
Contribute to assessment under the supervision of the RN by assisting in identifying changes in patient status
Utilize the appropriate standard of care for the identified medical diagnosis
Demonstrate capability of performing basic patient teaching according to formulated plan
Utilize effective communication skills
Utilize Universal Precautions and safety measures to ensure a safe environment
Foster collegial working relationships with the health care team
Understand and respect patients rights
Participate in the Quality Improvement program and activities
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
Licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification within one (1) month of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year of experience in area of expertise
