Providence is calling an RN - Quality Education Coordinator - Surgical Services (1.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

In this position, you will:
Assess, plan, present/facilitate and evaluate orientation and education activities of Surgical Services caregivers to assure competence in job performance and promote professional development.
Act as a liaison and/or consultant with other departments in the hospital.
Coordinate student and new caregiver experiences in Surgical Services areas.
Coordinate and facilitate QA/CQI activities to promote quality patient outcomes and effective /efficient use of resources.
Maintain abilities to function in circulator/ scrub role and be willing to perform these duties when assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with additional training in adult education, OR nursing, and management
Current licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
4 years of experience in the Surgical Services (Operating Room, PACU, Short Stay) with prior management responsibilities
Membership in professional organizations is encouraged
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in nursing or related field
