Providence Health & Services Clinical Oncology Services Director in Medford, Oregon


Providence is calling a Clinical Oncology Services Director to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Be well-versed in comprehensive, clinical oncology services, prefer rural access experience.

  • Have proven experience in progressive leadership within the oncology service line, be familiar with clinic workflow, staffing to patient volumes, medical/radiation and surgical oncology services, in addition to the multi-disciplinary approach to providing for patient healthcare needs - palliative, navigation, social work, various therapies (physical/occupational) as well as the financial requirements to meet patient needs.

  • Feel comfortable implementing and enforcing clinical policy and procedures.

  • Have familiarity with government and regulatory programs, willing to motivate and inspire teams, work with strong personalities and be an effective communicator.

  • Be responsible for directing oncology specific accreditation processes - Commission on Cancer, ASTRO/ACR, QOPI; assists providers in meeting regulatory compliance initiatives, as well as preparing data for annual reports.

  • Feel comfortable in presenting to the community at large as well as working with other healthcare facilities in the area.

  • Have familiarity with an organized labor relations.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's degree with 5 years of comprehensive, oncology experience

  • Oregon Nursing License (for a nurse leader) or Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)/Oregon Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Health care administration with 5 years of oncology leadership considered

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemo- and biotherapy provider

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
