We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to provide counseling to chemically dependent patients and their families.
In this position you will:
Perform comprehensive clinical screenings (inquiry calls) and initiate admission process, if appropriate.
Develop and complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, create a treatment plans, and counsel patients in a behavioral health setting.
Provide therapeutic individual and family sessions while maintaining positive therapeutic relationships within patient and staff boundaries.
Use open and clear communication with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary medical professionals while maintaining patient and employer confidentiality.
Demonstrate knowledge of substance use disorder treatment modalities and the ability to perform related functions consistent with the patient’s age, gender, cultural and spiritual influences, and ability to participate and benefit from the activity.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Washington State license as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Washington State Driver's License
Minimum two (2) years experience with persons with the primary problem of chemical dependency
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling or related field
Recent or current experience working with dual diagnosis patients

Providence St. Peter Chemical Dependency Center (PSPCDC) is part of Providence Behavioral Health Services, coordinating care with Providence St. Peter Hospital Psychiatry Services and Providence Sexual Assault Clinic.
