Providence Integrative Cancer Care Coordinator - Oncology in Lacey, Washington
Providence is calling a Integrative Cancer Care Coordinator (0.8 FTE, Day Shift) to Oncology for Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington in Lacey, Washington.
This position works under the direction and supervision of the Oncology Operations Director, Site Operations Lead, or other appropriate management staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity.
In this position you will:
Answer calls for the PICC practitioners and disseminate relevant information to PICC practitioners as appropriate
Schedule appointments and provide reminder calls for PICC patients, Cancer 101 and Living with and Beyond Cancer
Request and maintain patient medical, insurance, and demographic records as needed for PICC practitioners
Explain PICC services and their potential benefits to callers and in-person inquiries as defined in writing by PICC providers. Explain insurance/billing/payment practices, as well as applicable referral protocols
Request extension of benefits through patient insurance carriers. Request initial authorization for benefits when applicable, as well as prescription for services as required for oncology massage
Required qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years healthcare experience
Three (3) years customer service experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree
