Providence is calling a Chemical Dependency Outpatient Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to The Chemical Dependency Center in Lacey, WA.

The Chemical Dependency Center (CDC) Outpatient Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Manager. The position is responsible for all aspects of care for outpatient services for both adolescent and adult patients, including meeting budgetary requirements, monitoring quality assurance, and maintaining compliance with JCAHO, WAC and DSHS and other regulatory requirements. Assures that day-to-day operation, workflow and problem solving occur. Functions as an administrator-on-call for CDC. This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of strategies, policies, budget and programs that supports our strategic plan. Hires, orients and supervises the performance of employees and conducts performance evaluations.

In this position you will:

  • Supervise the work of Counselors, Counselor Trainees and Administrative Assistant

  • Participate in planning and resource sharing with other Clinical Services Supervisors

  • Manage services fully to comply with established contracts, WACs, etc.

  • Deliver and schedule the delivery of age appropriate patient services per program and agency requirements to ensure quality of care

  • Determine and review patient assignments

  • Develop, review and revise policies and procedures related to Clinical Services, under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Managers and the Director, demonstrating knowledge of JCAHO, WAC, DBHR and ASAM regulations/standards

  • Assist with development and revision of treatment plans specific to the individual patient's problems identified in the BPS assessment as needed

  • Demonstrate knowledge of evidence based chemical dependency treatment modalities and the ability to perform related functions consistent with patient's age, gender, cultural and spiritual influences

  • Exhibit ethical behaviors by adhering to the defined code of ethics of N.A.A.D.A.C. and relevant policies and regulations

  • Identify role and responsibility in complying with facility specific safety and security policies, plans and procedures

  • Comply with facility specific infection control, risk management and OSHA guidelines and procedures

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 5 years experience counseling individuals with the primary problem of chemical dependency

  • 2 years experience coordinating and/or supervising staff and unit functions

  • Must maintain qualifications as a Chemical Dependency Professional as defined in WAC 388-805

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License

  • Fluent English written and verbal skills

  • Must complete AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers and renew every two years

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field

  • Dual diagnosis experience preferred
