Providence is calling a Chaplain (Hospice, Day Shift, 1 FTE) to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish in Everett, Washington. In this position you will:
Provide spiritual services to patients and families including a spiritual assessment and reassessment, spiritual counseling, spiritual emotional support direct care to ministers, clergy, rabbis as appropriate.
Participate in presentation of Chaplaincy services.
Promote and practice patient/family, personal, and environmental safety while performing job duties according to agency policies and procedures.
Participate in relevant educational activities to provide competent spiritual care to patients/caregivers and to seek personal and professional growth.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology or equivalent training program
Certification or clinical membership with national chaplaincy certifying organization
Certification by NACC, APC or NAJC, plus current endorsement of sponsoring denomination or faith community. NOTE: Will consider candidates in the process of being certified
Valid Washington State driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured reliable vehicle or an alternate ability to travel to sites as required
Experience and expertise in the area of interpersonal communications, group process development, and facilitation and development of communal liturgical expression
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in theology, religious studies, or religious education
CPE completion of four units
Chaplaincy experience with ill or dying clients and families
Chaplains are certified and maintain a national certification or meet the requirements of their faith community for Chaplain and are ordained, or complete 4 CPE's within Two (2) years of hire

Our Inpatient Hospice Care Center provides a unique alternative to traditional home-based care for hospice patients who need symptom management which cannot be provided in the home. Located at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, the center serves patients in the hospital and offers the community a complete continuum of hospice care.
