Providence Health & Services Quality Support Specialist in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Quality Support Specialist (Community Support Program, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Kodiak Mental Health Center in Kodiak, Alaska.
In this position you will:
Participate in process evaluation and quality improvement activities.
Be responsible for managing data used to improve quality of care, client and/or patient safety and operational efficiencies, by assisting in the analysis, planning, creation and maintenance of simple to moderately complex reports and database projects.
Provide a wide variety of administrative and clerical support to the Director and other departments in accordance with Providence philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards.
Interact with client and/or patients, their families, physicians, employees and the general public.
Run ad hoc reports against local databases as requested to identify trends and opportunities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years experience in report writing or data management
Strong technical skills in database queries, reporting and data management
Computer proficiency in Windows, email, file-management, and MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 year experience in a medical setting with experience in medical terminology
Advanced Excel and desktop publishing skills
