Providence Health & Services Physical Therapist Assistant in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Physical Therapist Assistant to Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, Alaska. This is an On-Call/PRN position.
The Physical Therapist Assistant delivers physical therapy services according to the plan of care described by a Physical Therapist and/ordered by a physician licensed in the State of Alaska.
In this position you will:
Provide physical therapy to patients/residents under the direction of a Physical Therapist as prescribed by a physician licensed in the state of Alaska.
Document progress toward goals in the medical record according to facility guidelines.
Provide resident, family and staff education in a variety of settings.
Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an associate degree program in Physical Therapy Assistant
Must be licensed in the state of Alaska, or eligible for licensure
Must have a valid AK drivers license with current auto insurance and registration IAW state motor vehicle laws
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of experience in physical disabilities
