Providence Food Services Worker - Food and Nutrition Services in Issaquah, Washington
Providence is calling a Food Services Worker (Food and Nutrition Services, Per Diem, Variable Shift) to Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Following standard infection control and safe food handling guidelines, provides meal service including setup, serving and cleanup.
Prepares and serves morning beverage and snacks. Serves meals as needed.
Maintains kitchen and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and neat condition, following safe food handling and storage procedures.
Maintains required food service logs. Maintains refrigerator/freezer temperature logs in all participant areas.
Keeps food containers used for meal transport clean and sanitary.
Orders meals and maintains daily supplies necessary for the smooth operation of the kitchen and meal service. Ensures special diets are ordered and received.
Deliver tray carts to the residents, collect the trays and tray carts back to the kitchen
Receive foods from the vendor and file them in the storage area following FIFO standard
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Food Handler's Permit (or must obtain within 14 days of hire)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous food service experience in a health care setting.
Working with the elderly.

Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home in “neighborhoods” and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
