Providence is calling a Sr. Financial Analyst to Providence Health & Services in Irvine, CA.

As a member of PSJH Southern California Finance team, this position is part of a highly visible team that works closely with Southern California leadership and functional teams to support our strategic financial initiatives. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst is expected to be a thought partner and to closely collaborate with key stakeholders across the region to drive meaningful financial and strategic decisions backed by strong financial analysis. We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented individual with a demonstrated track record of developing high-quality quantitative and qualitative analyses to support and deliver on the Region’s strategic priorities and goals.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop financial, operational and statistical analysis both routine and ad hoc, for all areas of the Southern California Region.

  • Develop, maintain, and publish financial reporting and analysis in support of regional Clinical Institutes.

  • Maintenance of cost accounting system to include monthly processing and auditing.

  • May also provide query and reporting expertise to facilitate analytical research using a variety of source systems including, but not limited to, Kronos WFA, EPSI, Meditech, Amalga and Tableau.

  • Reporting of routine productivity measures to include the incorporation of benchmarking analytics.

  • Support Regional Leadership team with data and financial analytical needs.

  • Collaborate with local ministry Finance and Decision Support teams to understand their systems and structures for support in local analysis.

  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to engage in problem-solving, execution of analyses and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Work with other Analysts and business end-users to identify and understand project needs, key performance indicators and data analysis requirements.

  • Support affordability work with data analytics through tracking and trending of monthly and annual performance against goals.

  • Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.

  • Assist the Director of Finance in the development of technical capabilities of junior analysts.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related field.

• 5 years of financial data analytics experience

• 5 years of financial systems experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• MBA, MHA, or CPA

• 3 years of healthcare analytics experience
