We are seeking an individual to serve as Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Providence AdvantAge (“PA”). This individual will serve as an internal consultant and will develop analytics and reporting efforts to enable the operations, performance management, and program design of a senior value-based care program. This role is focused on enabling clinical care teams with critical operations information, supporting program leaders with reporting for performance management, and generating strategic insights to inform decision making on program design. The Senior Business Analyst will be an excellent communicator and will synthesize complex value-based care performance results into understandable outputs. This person will need to gain actionable insights from internal tools and other population health and clinical data sources in order to provide thought leadership to clinical and program teams.
This positon is remote and can sit from any Providence approved locations in the US.
Providence has expanded its pursuit of outpatient value-based care models as part of its Health 2.0 vision, including the recent launch of Providence AdvantAge. Providence AdvantAge is a new senior-focused value-based care business, with goals of delivering high-quality, outpatient-led health care to senior patients, driving incremental EBIDA through strong performance on risk-based payer agreements, and growing and attracting more Medicare Advantage lives to serve in the future. Medicare Advantage is among the fastest growing patient segments of healthcare.
As Senior Business Analyst for Providence AdvantAge, this individual will play a critical role on Providence’s Clinical Network and Value-Based Care teams through establishment and execution of reporting, analytics, and strategic insight generating activities. These activities will include, but are not limited to:
Develop reporting for clinical and operations teams:
Caregiver and provider performance tracking to benchmarks
Patient risk stratification and predictive utilization and spend analytics
Medicare Advantage new patient acquisition and conversion tracking
Synthesize and present clinic and program performance summaries:
Integrated risk-based financials and clinical care delivery financial performance
Key operations, clinical, and experience performance indicators
Patient cohort and control cohort side by side comparison on key performance indicators
Support program strategic decision making:
Understanding business strategies, goals, and requirements
Using SQL and excel to analyze large data sets
Compiling charts, tables, and other elements of data visualization
Providing data-driven recommendations
Develop regular reporting for clinical teams on critical operations information, including patient roster stratification and provider performance data
Synthesize performance summaries for program and clinic leadership on key performance indicators, including care quality, care utilization, experience, member growth, and integrated financial performance
Identify program patient cohort and similar control cohort and conduct side-by-side comparison on key performance indicators
Provide data-driven recommendations to program leadership on strategic program design questions
Conduct ad hoc analytics deep dives as needed to identify actionable insights and inform key leadership and operational priorities
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
5-8 years of related experience
2 years of experience working with healthcare claims and/or Electronic Medical Record billing data
4 yrs Experience communicating with healthcare leadership and front-line caregivers.
2 yrs Experience writing complex SQL queries
2 yrs Management consulting or technical consulting experience
