Providence is seeking an IS Project Manager:

The Project Manager is accountable for one or more medium complexity projects in the area of information technology with a focus on Revenue Cycle applications.

Major Challenges:

  • Adapt and respond effectively to a constantly changing business and technology environment.

  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities.

  • Coordinating efforts across initiatives, committees and work teams, using lessons learned to effect broad and lasting changes.

  • Oversee/manage multiple initiatives while maintaining the ability to handle urgent needs as they arise.

  • Ability to successfully manage risk and issues in a collaborative, highly matrixed environment.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage expectations from initial problem identification and through the project life-cycle.

  • Develop and gain sponsor approval and sign-off of the project charter and work breakdown schedule.

  • Develops and leads the project team to the delivery of successful project outcomes.

  • Builds and manages multiple, multi-functional collaborative project and/or work teams.

  • Provides expert support to the Information Systems department in prioritizing deliverables and objectives rapidly in an ever-changing environment.

  • Coordinates the activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project budget, task dependencies, and schedule.

  • Scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans.

  • Develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.

  • Develops, initiates, and manages a communication plan, including regular project status reports.

  • Maintains all project artifacts.

  • Identifies, delivers and documents organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.

  • Delivers appropriate integration, training, and implementation plans and activities.

  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.

  • Develops projects in alignment with the organization's strategic plans and objectives.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong team player, self-starter and detail-oriented.

  • Manages stakeholders and multiple project teams in the context of a single project.

  • Builds support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.

  • Prepares and deliver presentations to senior leadership, management and stakeholders.

  • Acts as a coach and mentor.

  • May be required to supervise or manage Project Coordinators.

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven hands-on project management skills.

  • Strong facilitation, planning and management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development life-cycle, or quality life-cycle.

  • Experience with PM methodologies and software.

  • Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project as appropriate.

  • Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Must have strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities and excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Exceptional customer service orientation.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree -or- 10 years relevant experience

  • 3 years of experience with project or program management.

  • 2 years working in the field of Information Services

Preferred qualification:

  • 3 years of Working in the healthcare industry

  • 1 year experience with Epic Revenue Cycle applications
