Providence ERP HR Applications Analyst in Irvine, California

Description:

Providence is calling an ERP HR Applications Analyst to one of our locations in Renton, WA, Seattle, WA, Redmond, WA, Portland, OR, or Irvine, CA. This position will require on-site work or to be able to come into the office at times. This position can not sponsor a visa at this time.

We are seeking a ERP HR Applications Analyst, with Oracle HCM, ORC and/or Talent Management experience strongly preferred. This role will use a wide application of principles, theories, and concepts related to Human Resource and/or IS business processes and ERP systems, to provide solutions to a diverse array of difficult problems. May lead medium project and work teams and will work on a number of complex business applications. Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devices or modifies procedures to process data and solve problems. Review schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects. Mentors and assists others in support of applications, projects and goals. Typically deals with users to determine appropriate requirements of complex systems.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • This position will be involved in the implementation and ongoing daily support of business applications. Works very closely with the company’s Human Resource department, vendors and contractors, and other IS caregivers to implement and maintain these applications.

  • Identify and analyze operational and systems issues and opportunities and produce effective solutions.

  • Assist business partners with business process improvement, business requirements gathering and test planning.

  • Prepare design specifications and test plans, scenarios and scripts.

  • Consult with functional departments to identify necessary definition or changes to systems.

  • Understand customers business needs and builds workflows while engaging key customer representatives and incorporating known solutions.

  • Management of specific work items and/or projects, including: planning, scoping, estimation, status reporting.

  • Help investigate and resolve system functional and technical errors. Troubleshoot on systems and data, and generate solutions which may include systems modifications enhancements or new procedures.

  • Design, configure and test systems functionality changes, such as but not limited to creating flexfields, modifying fast formulas, building elements and table setup.

  • Coordinate with other IT areas who are responsible for file transfers, security administration, reporting, databases and other functions.

  • Report, track, and resolve application related issues with the Oracle support organization.

  • Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with others, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.

  • Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.

  • Independently define tasks; identify stakeholders and their objectives. Create documentation, capable of writing complex scope of work and justifications

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Engineering, Commerce or combination of education and relevant experience (at least 3 years of functional experience).

  • 3 years experience in application design, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more of the following large scale Enterprise Resource Planning systems - Oracle Cloudsuite, Oracle EBS/EPM (Hyperion, etc.) Applications, PeopleSoft, or Workday.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One (1) years of experience with implementation or support of Oracle Cloud Suite (HCM, emphasis in ORC or Talent Management module) or other large scale ERP is highly desired.

  • Two (2) years of experience with large scale business transformation and ERP system implementation projects with scope spanning multiple regions and/or geographies and business process areas. Preference around Talent Management and Talent Acquisition in healthcare environment.

  • Oracle Certified Professional (HCM applications).
