Providence Health & Services Director, Wellness Operations in Irvine, California
Providence St. Joseph Health is looking for a Director, Wellness Operations to work at Providence St. Joseph Health in Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Director, Wellness Operations to be responsible for the resources, systems, structures and day-to-day operations in specific wellness program/center locations, as well as wellness operational standards across the health system. He or she will direct wellness center operations and works in partnership with leadership, including the VP of Wellness, Wellness Medical Director and Executive Director, Operations for St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare (Heritage) to meet goals and deliver services in accordance with policies and procedures. The Director, Operations participates in business development activities and strategic planning processes in order to ensure long term success, including positive partner, patient, provider and employee relations. He or she will work closely with other department leaders to develop and implement administrative strategies as defined by the VP, Wellness and oversees the implementation of programs to ensure overall quality of care and service in the day-to-day operations.
In this position you will:
Direct operations, including the resources, systems and structures to deliver wellness services and meet wellness goals in accordance with Heritage policies and procedures; develop and maintain leadership over the wellness program staff and supports medical director in leadership of providers.
Assist the VP and medical director in the development and implementation of strategic plans and programs in the wellness centers.
Direct operational standards for wellness programs across Providence St. Joseph Health System, including implementation of the operations workstream for new employer-based wellness centers.
Actively participate in Heritage Management Team activities, including meetings and committees; contributes to the collective decision-making process of the wellness and Heritage teams.
Establish and enforce policies to ensure positive working relationships with team, other departments and wellness centers; ensure compliance with all legal, OSHA, HIPAA, State and Federal regulatory guidelines and JCAHO as required.
Participate in and oversees the preparation and maintenance of operating and capital budgets assuring that financial goals are met and acts as a good steward of the organization’s resources.
Provide insight/direction to operating departments regarding methods that may result in improved operating performance or efficiency and/or improved interdepartmental collaboration and cooperation.
Facilitate final conflict resolution at sites for patients regarding issues with physicians, staff, attorney requests, billings and health plans. Tracks and trends such issues when appropriate to understand and improve system issues that result in such conflicts.
Provide reports to the VP, Wellness, Executive Director and the Executive Management Team regarding operational efficiencies, projects, employee relations and areas of concern as requested.
Enhance operational effectiveness by participation in Improvement Performance initiatives and promotes outcomes through visual metrics oversight.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field
Seven (7) plus years of management experience in a wellness center, onsite clinic, multi-site or multi-specialty physician practice setting
Previous experience in leadership, budget management, operations turnarounds and strategic planning required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Valid California Driver’s License for travel between PSJH locations
Preferred qualifications for this position includ e:
Clinical credentials (MA, RN, BSN, NP, PA, etc.)
Understanding and prior work history with worksite clinics
