Providence CFO-Physician Enterprise in Irvine, California
The CFO – Physician Enterprise will provide strategic and financial leadership that will ensure the financial strength of the LOB within their assigned region. The CFO provides leadership in developing short and long term strategic financial plans and new growth opportunities. This position has oversight responsibility for operational and financial performance, operating margin budgets, capital planning, revenue integrity and optimization, and physician compensation. This position is responsible interacts and strategically plans for the financial success through the regional and LOB executive leadership teams.
The CFO-Physician Enterprise will have the following accountabilities:
Oversee development and budget and integrated strategic financial plan for medical and physician groups including volumes, revenues and expenses.
Review and report on monthly financial statements and variances for divisions.
Identify opportunities and make recommendations for productivity improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
Develop and maintain benchmarks for financial and operational performance.
Analyze and review monthly results for risk contracts against annual plans and forecasts.
May develop, propose and participates on negotiation teams as it relates to physician compensation arrangements.
May oversee timely and accurate implementation of physician compensation programs and arrangements and payments to physicians, responds to and addresses compensation questions and reportings.
May represent medical groups and physician services on various committees and councils.
Oversee and coordinate development of pro formas and projections for business ventures and partnerships; propose operational changes and strategies to enable decision making and budgeting.
This position is responsible for assisting the Regional CFO in working with matrixed shared services functions for the system to drive strategies in areas such as revenue cycle (including coding, audit and education), optimization in concert with shared services for physician and professional revenue, supply chain (REH), system physician compensation programs and payer contracting. Leads and oversees physician coding audit, education and revenue integrity activities across service area and geographies within the region.

Signature authority on appropriate documents and in concert with state and/or federal organizations to bind PSJH in accordance with the system authority matrix.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or business related degree
At least 12 years of closely related experience
At least 10 years in a leadership role or capacity
Ability to use mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Knowledge of financial principles and practices and the ability to apply them effectively.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
