Surgical Technologist - Surgical Services Department at Providence Hood River Hospital located in beautiful Columbia Gorge in Hood River, OR. This is a (1.0 FTE) position that typically works a variable shift on weekdays/weekends.

The Surgical Technologist will work closely with all members of the surgical team to provide direct patient care in an effort to optimize positive surgical outcomes. Assist the surgeon and surgical team during the procedure by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment. Maintain proper sterile technique during the procedure.
Completion of a surgical technologist program accredited by a national accreditation organization -AND- holds a current surgical technologist certification issued by a nationally accredited certifying organization for surgical technologists, both approved by the Oregon Health Authority
National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
New Graduate requirements:
- A Recent graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program must obtain a surgical technologist certification issued by a nationally accredited certifying organization for surgical technologists that is approved by the Oregon Health Authority within twelve (12) months of completion of a surgical technologist program.
