We are seeking a Facilities Manager - Facility Services that wiil provide leadership and supervision required to coordinate and execute the daily functions and activities of the department, assists in developing and maintaining departmental objectives and quality standards. Is directly responsible for fire and life safety programs on the campus and initiating department response to emergency events.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership and supervision of the physical plant operations and maintenance, housekeeping, security, and utility management programs. Responsible for hazardous/medical waste and recycling programs. Utilize department resources to carry out the department mission in accordance with the mission of Providence Health Systems.
Develop and maintain effective communications with department staff, hospital staff and other managers to encourage the free exchange of ideas, concerns and information related to the function and performance of the department. Conducts regular department staff meetings.
Prepare operating and capital budget for the department. Manage the department efficiently to achieve objectives within approved budget.
Participate in the hospital's Quality Assurance Program, identifying problems, presenting potential solutions and taking corrective measures.
Set and display customer service standards for the department.
Mentor staff and develop program and philosophies that ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Develop long term goals and strategic plans for security and parking issues, pertaining to Providence Health System's vision
Oversee the Security Management Plan and functions as an informational and technical resource to all PNH managers and staff.
Maintain professional security affiliations. Confer with other security professionals as necessary. Maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Three (3) years facilities management experience with successful history of progressive responsibility.
Experience in use of computers and software applications including databases, spreadsheets and maintenance management programs.
State of Oregon DPSST Supervisor/Manager Professional Certification or temporary work permit upon start of work date.
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.
