Providence Health & Services RN - Triage in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Hospice, Day Shift, 0.6 FTE) to Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County in Everett, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Perform triage activities such as receiving incoming phone calls from hospice patient, physician offices, patients and families, assessing patient needs, providing immediate problem-solving on the phone.
Contact covering MD’s to obtain verbal orders and write orders needed for treatment, PT/INR labs, wound care, eliminate or add-on of services, and order extensions.
Communicate PT/INR lab results to physicians and clinics.
Arrange for nursing visit if needed.
Provide follow-up communication to other Hospice staff regarding patient/family needs.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient demographics, medical and financial information at all times. Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Washington State Registered Nursing License
Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Current Washington State Driver's license and automobile insurance
2 years full time experience practicing as a registered nurse with 1 year of recent experience (within last 3 years) clinical experience in a Medicare certified Homecare or Hospice agency/facility doing intermittent visits and case management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
