Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Hospice Snohomish, Full-Time, Day Shift, 0.8 FTE) to Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County in Everett, Washington.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.

  • Develop Hospice plans of care in conjunction with team members.

  • Coordinate care with other disciplines and provide direct patient care in the implementation of outcome-oriented nursing interventions under the Physician ordered Plan of Care.

  • Complete required documentation, accurately and on time.

  • Document nursing assessments and interventions related to symptom management and palliative care, grief and quality of life issues for patient/families receiving Hospice care.

  • Documents in electronic health record.

  • Promotes and practices patient/family, personal and environmental safety while performing job duties according to agency policies and procedures.

  • Participates in relevant educational activities to provide competent care to patients/caregivers, to improve the nursing process, and to seek personal and professional growth.

  • Displays professionalism in the work environment in all areas including communication with both internal and external customers and time management skills.

  • Maintains productivity as per agency standard.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Current provider BLS (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification 

  • 1 year of nursing experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Medical/Surgical, Hospice or Home Health experience

Providence Hospice and Home Care provides quality, timely, comprehensive medical care in the homes of patients in Snohomish County in Washington State, including Camano Island.

The wide-ranging care we provide includes the service of physicians, registered nurses, CWCN registered nurse wound care specialists, medical social workers, rehabilitation therapists, home health aides, chaplains and volunteers.  

Our Inpatient Hospice Care Center provides a unique alternative to traditional home-based care for hospice patients who need symptom management which cannot be provided in the home.  Located at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, the center serves patients in the hospital and offers the community a complete continuum of hospice care.
