Providence Health & Services RN – Clinical Data Abstractor in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Data Abstractor to work in Clinical Data Analysis at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We need an RN with a curious mind and a strong background in EPIC navigation. strong background in cardiac needed – and CVL experience is preferred. Initial workload estimated at a higher number of hours to decrease a backlog of cardiac abstraction. Ongoing work will include incorporating new abstraction requirements into workload and assisting in determining hours needed to complete sustainable workload.
In this position you will:
Collect data from medical records for the timely submission into data registries and other clinical information systems within the organization.
Use your clinical knowledge and background to provide complete and accurate data and information regarding patient care as documented in the medical record.
Demonstrate ability to navigate effectively through the medical record using EPIC skills
Show an accurate interpretation of documentation as it relates to the information being sought in the data tool collection tool or registry
Be an integral part of helping clinical teams use the data to optimize care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in WA
Recent/current experience as a RN in the acute care setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Clinical Nursing experience that includes procedural care such as the cardiovascular lab, critical care or emergency nursing
Previous data abstraction experience that includes a cardiac focus
