Providence is looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner II (0.9 FTE, Nights) to work in Respiratory Therapy at Providence Regrional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE) in Everett, WA.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) II is a competent performer and has a task-oriented approach to performing all clinical and interpersonal related tasks with a view of the entire patient experience/team member interaction.

In this position you will:

  • Complete the PRMCE/AARC Preceptor Training Program (or equivalent) and equally rotate into the role within the qualified pool.

  • Complete the designated Specialty Bronchoscopy Training Program approved by the Medical Director specific to the advance practice, equally rotate into the role within the qualified pool and participate in 75% of in-services and training offered in the specialty.

  • Be an active and contributing member of the Respiratory Care Policy & Procedure Committee and Hospital Interdisciplinary Committee.

  • Respond to situations with speed, confidence, flexibility, and a good attitude and appropriately handle unanticipated problems or emergencies.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or two year technical program

  • Five (5) years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

  • Minimum three (3) years actively working in 2 of the 4 critical care areas: Emergency Department, CSSU/CCU, NICU, and Labor and Delivery

  • Washington State License-Respiratory Care Practitioner

  • Valid certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

  • At least one of the following credentials or certifications: Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS), Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory CareSpecialty (NPS), Asthma Educator Certified, COPD/Pulmonary Disease EducatorCredential

  • Adult or Neonatal Intubation certified

  • Rapid Response Team qualified

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Care, Health Sciences and Administration, Chemistry/Biology/Physics/Math, Research, Education, or Management/Business as appliedin the Healthcare Setting

  • Minimum six (6) months as a =RCP I at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett
