Providence Health & Services Music Thanatologist - Pastoral Care in Everett, Washington
Providence is looking for a Music Thanatologist to work in a hospital setting at various locations. Openings include full-time, part-time and per-diem (on-call) positions as well as multiple shifts.

The Music Thanatologist provides live voice and harp prescriptive vigils to critically and terminally ill patients throughout the continuum of care. The Music Thanatologist also provides for clinical and spiritual comfort by planning and implementing music vigils for patients and their families.
In this position you will:
Provide education and in-services for staff.
Minister in partnership with chaplains and other team members and assists in providing for the needs of the terminally ill and their families.
Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the team concept and reflects the Providence mission and philosophy.
Function as a health care team member supporting physicians and medical staff, especially with end-of-life issues.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree and/or graduate of music thantology training
Previous or current experience in music thanatology
Current certification as a music thanatologist from the MusicThanatology Association International or Chalice of Repose Project
