Providence is calling a Manager NICU Pediatrics to Providence Health & Services in Everett, WA
This position will manage the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Department to support the operation of 24-hour PRMCE services. Responsible for resource management, customer relations and operational standards. Partners with Clinical and Medical Directors of the NICU, Pediatrics and Women and Children’s Services to develop program and fiscal planning for the services. Collaborates to develop integrated delivery system for NICU and Pediatrics and seamless patient care plan.
In this position you will:
Consistently manage and document employee performance issues; uses progressive discipline appropriately
Conduct or oversee the hiring and orientation of employees utilizing approved interview processes
Ensure compliance of employment laws, contractual agreements and employment policies and procedures
Develop and document department specific competency based training and meetings
Participate in collecting information and in development of budgets
Collaborate with staff to develop patient satisfaction improvement plans based on patient and family centered care
Ensure that patient satisfaction data is shared with and displayed for staff
Follow up with all patient/family concerns or complaints
Collaborate with staff to review current evidence for best practice in areas requiring improvement
Review and prepare department policies and procedures on an annual or more frequent basis
Maintain full knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications for this position include:
5 years relevant clinical experience
Sufficient and progressively responsible management experience in PEDS or NICU setting
Current RN licensure in the State of Washington
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s degree
