Working under the direct supervision of a Lead/Supervisor, Distribution Technician I is expected to work individually and as part of a team, responsible for issuing and delivery of supplies, equipment and meeting Department productivity goals throughout the Medical campuses. Requires extreme attention to detail, a strong ability to follow procedures, plus an ability to work with a wide range of medical supplies and people under sometimes stressful circumstances. Utilizes computer, pallet jacks and other similar materials handling equipment to locate, determine levels and move supplies under sometimes stressful circumstances.

Demonstrates proper inventory handling techniques both in the warehouse and in hospitals:
In hospital: Takes accurate inventory of products and quantities needed in each area assigned; inputs orders quickly and accurately into Lawson.
Delivers product promptly once order has arrived.
Accurately fills orders, verifying items and counts are correct.
Places products in proper locations when re-stocking.
Follows departmental procedures when returning credited items to warehouse stock.
Accurately replenishes supplies and performs outdates in bedside carts and PAR locations.
Fills urgent requests for supplies and/or deliveries. Completes orders for OR “add-ons” quickly and accurately.
Stages/loads freight so that it can be safely transported.
Properly demonstrates knowledge and ability to use ERP system upon completion of training modules.
Re-stocks and replaces specialty carts, trays and drawers:
Exchanges carts, trays and drawers as they are used.
Inventories and replaces needed supplies as indicated on par form.
Immediately issues supplies pulled to re-fill carts, trays and drawers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Graduate or equivalent experience
Completion of Healthstream Customer Service Training within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- 6 monthsrelevant experience in a warehouse/retail environment, preferably one in which an electronic inventory management system was used
