Providence Health & Services CNA - Nursing Float Pool - *$2,500 Sign-on Bonus* in Everett, Washington

This position offers up to a $2,500 bonus paid to newly hired (not working for Providence or one of our affiliates) CNAs with at least one year of experience.
$1,250 will paid upon hire, and the balance after 12 months of continuous employment.
Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (0.8 FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Nursing Float Personnel at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to support nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assist with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery. The CNA will provide personal care for patients and is responsible for allied tasks and assisting team members.
In this position you will:
Provides milieu management of patients using a Trauma Informed Care approach under the guidance and supervision of the RN, or other mental health professionals / social workers on the unit.
During the admissions process, may participate in the gathering of information from families as outlined by departmental admission procedures. Gives input and recommendations to the initial care plan including practical and therapeutic approaches that may benefit the patient.
Provides feedback and information either directly to the RN and other mental health professional team / social worker members regarding observed behaviors of patients, and charts the information directly into Epic. This includes all activities whether they are within or outside the norm of expectations on the unit.
Work directly with the RNs and other mental health professionals to give valuable input and recommendations to the care and treatment plans of the patients throughout their hospitalization.
Acts in a collaborative team environment to maintain the effective and proper functioning of the unit by monitoring patient condition and activity. Utilizes various de-escalation techniques as needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Sufficient education to read & understand instructions
Valid Washington State Certification as a Nursing Assistant (without restrictions)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (BLS Provider) upon hire
1 year In an acute or residential inpatient psychiatric facility in a similar role. Applicable internship or practicum experience may be applied towards required years of experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Social Science fields (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or other related field).
Adult inpatient psych unit: Experience in an adult psychiatric environment.
