Providence Health & Services Clinical Supervisor in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Family Medicine & Internal Medicine, and Pediatric at Providence Medical Group Northwest Washington in Everett, WA
Under the general direction of the Director of Clinical Specialty, manages the business, technical and patient support services for assigned clinic. Implements and manages all aspects of the clinic to support the strategic initiatives of Providence Physician Group and the Northwest Washington Service Area. Supports the work of the Clinic Medical Director through joint accountability for customer satisfaction and complaint resolution and for clinic performance in meeting system and organizational goals while adhering to all compliance programs. Supports the mission and core values of Providence Health & Services through responsible and effective work performance.

The caregiver must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. The degree of fluency required will vary depending upon the nature of the position.

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.
Ensure care management of all patient populations within assigned clinic. Provide Senior Leadership with input to the development and implementation of new clinic programs to increase and maintain patient volume and satisfaction.
Promote high levels of satisfaction with patients, providers and staff, by proactively addressing concerns through meaningful measures and interventions. Develop and nurture in staff a sense of shared ownership of patient satisfaction.
Partner with marketing to develop and implement clinic marketing programs; keep Medical Director informed and engaged in the process.
Ensure effective, ongoing staff recruitment and retention through collaborative efforts with leadership, clinic staff and human resources. Continually offer insights into improvement within this function.
Participate on Providence Physician Group committees related to clinic and network-wide operational development and strategic initiatives.
Oversee the selection, supervision and evaluation of staff according to organizational policies, procedures and protocols. Initiate/implement disciplinary actions as required. Ensure all staff are in compliance with applicable licensure and accreditation standards.
Provide Senior Leadership with input to develop budget. Adhere to fiscal and budgetary guidelines and standards for assigned clinic. Ensure all financial standards are achieved and meet established productivity targets.
Resolve staffing coverage issues on a daily basis. Review and approve paid time-off requests according to established protocols. Track CME usage within assigned clinic. Process CME requests according to established protocol.
Ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of timecards and payroll related forms.
Ensure clinic accounts and invoices are accurate; expedite processing of delinquent and/or inaccurate accounts/invoices. Ensure clinic deposit(s) are processed, recorded and deposited according to established protocol.
Monitor clinic budget categories. Investigate and report variances and make recommendations for compliance improvements.
Maintain and revise medical records, filing systems, transcription and dictation materials to ensure confidentiality of records, patient, employee or medical center information at all times.
Ensure all information and conversations regarding patients and employees are confidential and are secured from general public access.
Lead clinic performance improvement activities to ensure the development and implementation of processes that support quality patient care and effective work performance. Keep the Medical Director informed of clinic operations, issues and the status of special projects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree. Business Administration and progressively responsible leadership experience in clinic management/medical office management OR equivalent educ/experience•Knowledge of techniques of quality customer service.•Knowledge of clinic practices and procedures.•Demonstrated knowledge of: sales or retail medicine, managed care environment and third party payors, and DSHS procedures and codes.•Knowledge of management principles.•Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written communication.•Ability to build consensus.•Ability to develop and foster teamwork and collaborative relationships.•Ability to apply critical thinking to issues.
