Providence is calling a Clinical Research Coordinator II to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II who will be assigned to the area of Oncology. The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining diverse activities related to clinical research. This includes, but is not limited to: patient eligibility; registration/enrollment; data compilation, abstraction, and submission; study evaluation; quality control; and patient follow-up. The CRC2 interacts closely with the institutional investigators, industry sponsors, contract research organizations, NCTN research bases, clinical staff, laboratory staff, and pathology staff. The CRC2 collaborates with the fellow clinical research staff throughout the duration of the study to ensure high quality and efficient study conduct. Mentors new and/or less experience clinical research staff, and is able to manage high volumes of studies and patients while maintaining quality. Performs all duties in a manner, which promotes team consent and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
In this position you will:
Assist in the collection of source documents
Review and abstract data for the completion of case report forms and query resolution
Track/report adverse events, serious adverse events, and protocol deviation
Develop case report forms for investigator-initiated trials
Assist in preparing time estimates for clinical trial budget negotiation process
Act as Liaison for physician investigators, scientists, monitors, clinical staff, and other research staff for the day-to-day management of patients on clinical trials
Coordinate follow-up of off-treatments patients
Ensure compliance with protocol requirements
Maintain up-to-date and accurate study/patient data in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS)
Review study calendars for accuracy within the CTMS
Prepare patient charts for audits
Mentor junior staff and assist with training of new staff
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor Degree in a scientific or health services discipline.
Certification in clinical research coordination (SoCRA, ACRP)
At least 3 years clinical research experience
Familiarity with medical and/or scientific terminology
