Providence is calling a Certified Medical Assistant to the Walgreen's Express Care Clinic with Providence Medical Group in Snohomish County, WA .
This is a part-time (0.65 FTE) and benefits eligible position.
Please Note: The working hours will be 8am - 8pm; two days per week (12 hour shifts), including the requirement of working 2 weekends per month and up to 4 holidays per year. One shift per clinic location, per week will be required*
This CMA will float between the following clinics on a weekly basis:
Express Care at Walgreens - Murphy's Corner

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity. He or she will manage a heavy patient flow to ensure that patient appointment demands are met and services are available as requested or needed.
The person in this role will also perform Patient Services Representative duties, including checking in patients, verifying insurance, taking payments and doing deposits.
It is essential that the person in this position have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently. The person in this role must be flexible in their work schedule, including having the ability to pick up extra shifts, switch shifts and swap shifts.
In this position you will:
Greet and prepare patients for practitioner; obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem.
Manage patient flow ensuring enough time for patient and family education; assess patients and communicate urgent patient needs to the practitioner.
Anticipate the needs of the patient and the practitioner during the exam; provide patient mobility assistance as necessary.
Draw blood; perform EKGs, laboratory and x-rays, mini-catheterization; assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to appropriate level of training and established procedures.
Insure patient privacy and comfort during the exam; instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests.
Obtain body fluids as directed by practitioner; arrange for patient testing, referrals, and/or hospital admission as appropriate.
With practitioner order, administer oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intradermal medication / inoculations and discontinue IVs.
Maintain confidentiality of records, patient, employee or medical center information at all times; ensure all information and conversations regarding patients are secured from general public access.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school or other qualifying education
Current Medical Assistant (MA-C) License through the WA State Dept. of Health
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Ability to pass proficiency testing following Epic EMR training
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office setting, preferrably in Primary Care or Urgent Care
Experience with electronic charting, preferably EPIC
