Providence is calling a Behaviorist Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (1.0 FTE, Variable) to work in our newly expanded Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

The purpose of the Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) department is to help provide the highest quality primary care by addressing the biological, psychological and social factors influencing patients' health and health behaviors. The Behaviorists primary functions within the Patient-Centered Medical Home are providing brief, evidence-based interventions to patients and consultation and trainings to the care team.
In this position you will:
Evaluation, diagnosis and intervention of psychiatric and substance use disorders and related physical health and medical conditions:
Completed chart notes of assessments, mental health evaluations, and treatment plans completed within 24 hours of every encounter and effectively communicates to PCP regarding findings and recommendations.
Experience with integrated care models and experience with brief interventions and team-based care preferred:
Schedules 30 minute visits for follow up visits, utilizes telephone encounters and MyChart secured messaging as adjunct follow-up to maximize the number of patients followed within BH.
Provide documentation consistent with Health and Behavior coding in the electronic medical record for billable mental health visits:
Approximately 70% of provider's appointments are for billable counseling services and the denial rate will be <5%.
Ability to identify and administer appropriate, brief screening measures to assist with diagnostic understanding and treatment planning:
PHQ9 and GAD measures completed at assessment and monthly throughout brief therapy, as defined by counseling for 3 to 6 months.
General knowledge of psychopharmacology and monitoring for adherence and side effects:
Documentation in the EMR includes review of psychotropic medications and consultation with the PCP or psychiatrist when patients are not improving or experiencing clinically significant side effects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's dgree in MSW or LMHC or LMFT
2 years of providing social work services
LICSW or LMHC or LMFT and Washington State License
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Addiction and chemical dependency
Clinical experience with broad and diverse population base
