Providence Health & Services Account Representative - Strategy and Business Development in Everett, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling an Account Representative (Strategy and Business Development Department, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Health & Services in Everett, Washington. In this position you will:

  • Lead sales efforts in assigned accounts to meet established referral targets for Home Health, Hospice/Palliative Care, and other specified services as requested: These marketing functions would target physicians, physician groups, clinics, hospitals, boarding homes, nursing settings, adult family homes, and other providers including hospices and long-term care facilities, inpatient and outpatient facilities, public and private case Representatives, and targeted groups within the lay public. Participates in trade shows, health fairs, in-services, and special events for the purpose of marketing and communicating Home Health, Palliative Care, and Hospice services. Coordinate with Business Development management to create marketing tools such as fliers, brochures, mailings, to increase market share.

  • Identify and develop strategic information about your assigned territory: Monitor market trends and competitors, to include strengths and weaknesses, market share, pricing, customer satisfaction, and future changes or expansion of services. Make recommendations to the management team regarding innovative ways to promote a particular idea or concept through marketing materials and strategies that foster accessible, quality, cost effective, and outcome driven services. Meet with discharge planners, physician groups, and other referral sources on a regular basis to maintain good customer relations, ensure satisfaction and provide updated materials, introduce new or changes in services, etc.

  • Develop and implement sales tracking and analysis tools to optimize referral base: Top targeted account strategies, top account review and other marketing tools in order to meet quota, increase market share, and other business objectives. Develop, implement, and update a quarterly account analysis of activity, trends, challenges, opportunities and plans in assigned accounts as required.

  • Effectively manages customer resolution issues independently or seeks management/leadership involvement as needed.

  • Coordinate with team members to maximize sales effectiveness, account penetration and market share, and targeted referral growth.

  • In addition, all employees who have contact with participants/residents/patients/clients are expected to promote the Patients’ Bill of Rights and Responsibilities and understand the basic procedures for receiving and documenting grievances in order to initiate the appropriate process for participant concerns.

  • Respond to daily needs of local Team, including facilitation of excellent communication channels between Business Development and Intake Department.

  • Serve as a local champion for service-line standardization and consistency efforts.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, a clinical discipline, or equivalent education/experience

  • 1 year of successful medical sales account management experience

  • Current Washington State Driver's license

  • Automobile insurance

  • Current professional licensure as applicable to education

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • Healthcare coursework/training

  • 1 year of sales experience in the Washington State home health, hospice, or infusion marketplace

  • 1 year of experience selling directly to physicians, hospital, or discharge planners

  • 1 year of experience with customer relationship and territory management software
