Admitting Registrar - Physical Therapy at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital
The Admitting Registrar is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the greeting, registration, pre-registration, and financial counseling of hospital patients. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining patient demographics, insurance information, insurance verification and authorization, explanation of various hospital forms and policies, discussions on financial responsibility, first-level financial counseling, and initiation of the proper episode of care.
This is a full-time, day shift position working 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Computer and/or data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or experience in medical office, medical information or related medical business field
Medical insurance and third party payer requirements experience
Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook experience
Experience using web-based software
Customer service experience
Insurance billing and authorization experience
