Providence Sterile Processing Technician in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling a Sterile Processing Technician (1.0 FTE, Variable Shift) to Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining and sterilizing of instruments, processing case carts and sterile storage of items in sterile processing.
In this position you will:
Manages par level inventories of supplies for the OR
Maintains overall cleanliness and organization of unit storage areas.
Make changes to sets as needed or recommended.
Reports and documents unserviceable/broken equipment to Sterile Processing Coordinator.
Knowledge of sterilization
Knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies.
Knowledge of instrument processing and decontamination.
Knowledge of regulatory government agencies for standards and recommendation of sterile processing and decontamination.
Processes supplies and equipment
Practices sterile technique according to department policy.
Prepares and processes supplies and equipment according to departmental procedure.
Follows established SPD procedures.
Cleans and decontaminates equipment.
Follows department and hospital procedures regarding decontamination attire.
Cleans instruments and equipment in accordance with decontamination procedures.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Coursework/Training Graduate of approved Central Service Technician program.
