Providence Health & Services Principal Modern Workplace Learning & Education Trainer in California
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Modern Workplace Learning & Education Trainer to our location in Washington, Oregon or California.
We are actively seeking an energetic, dynamic and knowledgeable training professional to join our high-performing IS team. We’re looking for an individual who can play a key role in driving our IS modernization initiative and assist caregivers with adopting modern workplace tools. The Principal Trainer will play a critical role in developing and implementing the Modern Workplace learning and education curriculum, training plan and knowledge delivery platform. The Principal Trainer will work cross-functionally with leaders and project managers associated with collaboration and business productivity applications and engage caregivers throughout the enterprise on adopting new technology to improve workflows, business processes and overall worker productivity.
As a member of the Service Line Marketing & Management team chartered with driving adoption and awareness of TEO supported technology initiatives, the Principal Trainer will serve as a subject matter expert on all primary Modern Workplace applications and create and deliver training material designed to assist caregivers in using the tools and enhancing daily work activities. The successful enablement of users will require the Principal Trainer to work closely with project managers during the early planning of technology rollouts to align learning resources to affected groups and expected impacts.
In addition to delivering educational content, the Principal Trainer (aka Administrator) will contribute directly to building the training plan and determining optimal methods for providing caregivers with knowledge resources. This can include, but is not limited to, e-learning platforms and self-service portals, virtual and on-site training events, knowledge articles, internal social media sites and communities, etc. Understanding technology tools that aid in the delivery of educational content to users and validate their proficiency and knowledge is crucial.

• Being a subject matter expert for Modern Workplace tools and technologies
• Creating learning & education content for support teams and end users
• Delivering learning & education content directly to support teams and end users
• Evaluating and implementing e-learning technologies to enhance delivery of knowledge materials and confirming user proficiency
• Actively monitor and participate in internal social media communities focused on Modern Workplace topics
• Regularly engage and support members of change agent network
• Participate in strategic planning of Modern Workplace learning & education program
This position requires the ability to influence and coach cross-functional teams while championing new concepts and ideas. It is expected that the individual will possess exceptional public speaking and teaching skills and can accurately prioritize and ensure key initiatives move forward. Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. It is expected that the individual will be results driven and detail-oriented.
In this position you will:
In conjunction with direction from Program Management leadership, develops Modern Workplace learning & education curriculum. As subject matter expert, training content must include clear explanation of value and benefits to users, as well as sufficient instruction on key features and functions of tools. Planning activity requires close coordination and alignment with TEO project managers and leaders.
Utilizes and enhances existing tools, platforms and methods for delivering knowledge resources to caregivers.
Tracks training activities and provides regular status reports on caregiver participation, attestation and adoption, using standard tools and methodologies.
Attends regular meetings with TEO project managers, Service Line Management peers and other key stakeholders to understand impacts on caregiver workflows and how to optimize education content to enable effective transitions.
Serves as subject matter expert on Modern Workplace tools and regularly consumes relevant learning material to stay current and knowledgeable on changes and developments on the technologies you represent.
Demonstrated planning and project management skills.
Collaborates with peers and colleagues on Service Line Management team to develop learning and education plans that align with the needs and requirements of both internal customers.
Contributes to the overall direction of the Program Operations department by participating in goal setting sessions and providing regular updates on progress related to assigned objectives and initiatives.
Proven ability to organize multiple projects, schedules, demands and to meet shifting priorities
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Project Management or Information Technology
Eight (8) years experience in learning, education or instruction in technology or healthcare industry
ITIL Foundations Certificate
Three (3) years demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organization and teams
Willing to travel to Providence locations up to 30%
