Providence is calling a Supervisor Radiology (Full-Time/Evening Shift) to Providence St Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Supervisor Radiology who will supervise diagnostic radiology (and medical transportation, as needed) and perform radiographic examinations according to accepted departmental protocols, hospital policy and procedures.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side
Maintain established department policies, procedures, improving organization performance program, patient/customer safety, environmental and infection control standards
Work with Director, Imaging Services and Spv, RIS/MRI/Med Transport to assure that diagnostic radiology and medical transportation sections are in complete compliance with ACR, federal, state, and local requirements
Occassionally perform radiographic procedures, obtains patient history, prepare patient for the exam, explains exam, and ensure patient cooperation and safety during the procedure
Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives
Perform QA/QC procedures and documents accordingly
Prepare area staffing schedule in cooperation with Operations Manager
Evaluate performance of employees in diagnostic radiology section; makes recommendations for personnel actions
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings, and workshops
Attend meetings as required
The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:
Complete paperwork and billing functions; verify all OP/IP orders and signs off inpatient orders, completes ITS functions
Request and order supplies as necessary
Schedule exams and coordinate patient flow in the department
Transport patients and maintain cleanliness of work area and radiographic room
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Education sufficient for license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association
NOTE: If employee/applicant has certification by the American Red Cross-CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration date
Current CRT and Fluoroscopy Permit
Five (5) years technical experience with demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility
Three (3) or more years of team leadership or supervisory functions
