Providence is calling a Cardiovascular Tech (Special Procedures Tech Registry) (Full time/Day Shift) to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Tech (Special Procedures Tech Registry) who will perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures.
In this position you will:
Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side
Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, improving organization performance program, infection control, and patient/customer safety standards
Prepare written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, progress reports, and other such reports
Perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures
Check equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis
Develop film including evaluating film for technical quality
Maintain X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas
Explain procedures to patients and answers questions
Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients
Attend meetings as required
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:
Transport patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room
Request and order supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association. (NOTE: If employee/applicant has certification by the American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration date)
