Providence is calling a Social Work Clinical Supervisor (Full time/Day Shift) at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

We are seeking a Social Work Clinical Supervisor who will provide resource and consultative support to social work team on a daily basis; assisting in overseeing the daily social work operations throughout the ministry; assisting in ensuring competency of social work caregivers; assisting in maintaining compliance to professional social work standards and regulatory requirements; assisting in ensuring policies and standard work is up-to-date; collaborating with other behavioral health and ministry leaders; supporting physicians and caregivers in delivering quality health care to patients; and ensures all duties are performed in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence mission and core values.
In this position you will:
Assist with and/or supervises the planning, coordination and delivery of patient care activities of the unit(s) in a team environment
Assist in coordinating daily staffing and utilization of health care providers according to established standards of care and competencies
Collaborate with all other hospital management personnel in problem solving in the absence of the manager
Participate in interviewing, selecting, training, developing, coaching, evaluating, appraising and disciplining department staff. In conjunction with manager, processes terminations
Oversight of scheduling process of staff
Oversight of managing Kronos activities
Provide input to development and revision of unit policies and procedures
Promote harmonious relationships and favorable attitudes amongst the Health Care Team
Inspect the unit regularly for compliance with department policies and procedures, standards and regulations, and takes corrective action when indicated
Ensure compliance with laws and policies which govern assigned areas
Promote and maintains a positive and open working relationship with the medical staff and other hospital departments
Conduct staff meeting (when assigned) posting agendas and minutes in department
Assist to resolve patient complaints in a timely manner, referring to Manger/Director or other sources to intervene as appropriate
Serve as a role model to staff in upholding positive relationships with patients and visitors
Consult and serves as a resourced professional to staff members by identifying learning needs and providing instructions to staff member when observed to be needed
Contribute creative ideas for systems and supplies; participates in evaluation of new products, supplies and equipment
Provide direction to social work staff to get their assignments completed in a timely manner and to assure that all team members will/are working at their capacity

Master's Degree in Social work or Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy
LCSW licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
2 years or more of experience in a hospital (psychiatric or medical) setting
Requires ability to establish priorities, organize, and coordinate work activities
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise good judgment independently
Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks under pressure

Knowledgeable of case management, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice, and community resources with discharge planning experience
